What started as a fairly traditional red lager brewed with our friends from Blue Mountain Brewery, Devils Backbone, Starr Hill, Wild Wolf and Blue Mountain Barrel House turned experimental with additions of the difficult-to-acquire Southern Passion variety hop from South Africa. Subtle tropical nose and noticeable tropical flavor contributions from this hop variety lay atop floor-malted Bohemian pilsener malt and CaraRed malt.

Keg at Draft Taproom. Clear red amber, thin fizzy offwhite head, good retention. Aroma of toast grain, caramel, pine, green hops. Taste is pine, resin, green, raw malt, toast, berry like fruits.
