plum, baking spices, boozy | A boozy Belgian treat delights the senses. Yeast from an ancient monastery brings notes of mulled spices and sugar plums. "Swim the seas and ease your pain."

Rating #5006. $4.00 pint can, Wine Warehouse. Pours clear medium gold with a small white head. Aroma is yeasty, light dried flowers, nail polish, light strange chemical; wondering if this is what it's meant to smell like. Flavor is bubblegum, yeast, grasses, stone fruit. Quite herbal/medicinal, especially in the end.

Mild honey nose. Clear amber, medium head. Honey and lavender. Medium body, soft. Nicely hopped, which is a pleasant departure from the usual cloying boozy messes I usually find in this style. Great balance, lovely beer.
