Bdb puwi

Draught @ Il Birraiuolo, Naples. Pours hazy dark straw with airy white head. Dry aroma with etsery notes and mild touches of malt. Intense dry flavour with rough estery notes and mild, bitter touches of hops and hints of fruit. Vinous aftertaste with estery notes and malty hints. Well-balanced and quite enjoyable.

Pours a transparent dark golden/light orange that gets pretty murky on second pour. Just a thin hint of head which disappears pretty quickly. Mainly sweet, moderately sour aroma shows a cereal malt base, with fruity notes (peach + prickly citric hints) and the slightest funky hint. Overall nice though not so rich, in terms of both intensity and depth. Taste is a little more intense though still not very deep. Taste notes as per aroma, with dominant sweetness and a light, refreshing lactic sourness. Close to medium bodied with light carbonation; smooth and easy mouthfeel. Overall enjoyable and definitely a very approachable take for a sour beer, but i didn't find it so interesting.

Bottle, picked up at the brewery. Glowing, pale gold, with a soft haze. Noisy white head stays the course. Nose has lemon brett. Fresh sawn new wood. Straw. Some pineapple and white grape. Some pithy grapefruit. Taste is dry, tart and super juicy. Foamy carbonation. Soft on the palate with barely any acidity. Juicy tart finish. Great stuff.
