Bottle. A gorgeous looking beer, black body and with a tan, finger-thick head leaving some lacings. Some boozy notes on the nose, else there’s licorice, prunes and a generic touch of dark, dried fruits. The flavor is nice too, but there’s something about it making me think of homebrew. Else it’s pretty much the same booze, licorice and dried fruits found in the aroma. Quite dry on the palate, full-bodied. Certainly a decent one, but there’s something I can’t put my finger on which doesn’t impress. 120413

Bottled at Københavnske Øldage 2011. Really black, no head. Fruity licorice aroma. Sweet with medium-full body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Licorice and aniseed makes it a bit saké-like. Salmiak-like finish.
