Dark brown colour, white foam. Medium carbonation. Very sweet beer with hints of dark fruit and caramel. Light bitterness in the finish. Some metallic hints.

25cl bottle from Prik & Tik, Riemst. Hazy dark brown, lasting, foamy, tan head. Aroma of milk chocolate, butterscotch, banana candy, raisin, apricot, sugared nuts, liqueur. Taste has very sweet chocolate & butterscotch, apparent banana too, bit of a herbal & metallic edge but nutty & toasty too. Herbal hoppy finish, caramel lingering, touch of warming liqueur. Medium body, oily-sticky texture, soft carbonation. I like it, bit of a guilty pleasure. Original rating: 24/5/2014. 6/4/7/3/13=3.3.

Bottle from Beers Of Europe [040514]
Dark ruby, beige head that dissipates, clear, some lacing
Aroma of sweet fruity caramel, no hops, very malty
Taste as aroma, sweet caramel, brown sugars, dab of toasted malt, no hops, very malty, spoiled by a bit of an odd sour malty note
Palate - soft carb, medium body, sweet malts, bit over sweet and that slightly sour note. Finish as main flavour, sweet and a slightly bitter artificial sweetener note
Overall - Average beer with some flaws

Sampled draft @ The Glengarry in Gent. Ruby blackish with a creamy mocha head. Nose is overripe & mouldy frits, overly sweet with lots of molasses & syrup. Tate is pure syrup, molasses, Sirop de Liège, liquorish with a slight metallic edge. Very base sweetness & sticky body. Not really my thing.

25cl Bottle at Domus, Leuven. 8%, really?! Dark brown colour, off-white head. Aroma of forest fruits, cherries, raisins, caramel, light sugary tartness, wood, very very sweet. Flavour is very sweet, caramel malts, dark fruits, light tart sugary finish, paper. Light-bodied, and way too sweet. Tasted like some of Leroy’s beers.
