Draught @ Orsted Olbar, Norre Farimagsgade 13, 1364 Copenhagen, Denmark.Clear dark brown black colour with a average to large, creamy to frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light brown to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, burnt, dark malt, chocolate, cacao. Flavour is heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, dark roasted, cacao - chocolate. Body is medium full, texture is oily and smooth, carbonation is soft. [20101023]

Pitch black color, tar, charcoal, dark chocolate, liquorice in the nose. The mouth is very intense, slightly salty, dry, very roasty, ton of liquorice, dark chocolate and roasted character. Full bodied. Full on bitterness at the end. Intense, rich and wonderful. Slightly warming. The saltiness just lingers in the mouh.

tap at ørsted ølbar. pitch dark, smooth small brown head. Aroma is wood, whiskey, licorice, roasted grains, well blended. 8 flavor is licorice, roasted grains, faint wood, good subtle hop bitterness, nice boozy whiskey like base.

Black with a medium to large beige head. Aroma had plenty of burned malt, dark chocolate, plenty of hops and espresso. Flavour had burned malt, dark chocolate, mouth drying hops, espresso and hints of liquerice. Lovely stout.

On tap. Pours with a big black body and a tan head. Aroma of espresso, coffee, leather and chocolate. Taste is alcohol, chocolate, leather, licorice, and coffee. Creamy mouthfeel, light bubbles. Solid, but the San Clemente Infamous destroys this!

On tap. Pours black and opaque with a light brown head. Aroma of licorice and hard roasted malts. Medium body, hard roasted malts, licorice and a hint of cough syrup. Both malty bitterness and alcohol showing in the finish. 060709

Draft in Carlsbad. A pitch black beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of sweet malt, roasted malt, and caramel, as well as lighter notes of alcohol and whiskey. The flavor is sweet matly combined with notes of roasted malt, alcohol, and coffee, the latter lending it a good bitterness. The alcohol burns lightly on the tongue.

(11/3/08) Draught sample at the brewpub in Carlsbad. Black-colored with a brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, some dark fruits and alcohol notes. Sweet flavor of roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate notes, prunes, raisins and alcohol. Finishes dry. Full-bodied.

Draft. Black beer with a tan head. Rich malt aroma with a bit of coffee. Rich malt flavor with chocolate, roast, and big citrusy hops. Medium bodied. Lingering bitterness with roast, caramel, and chocolate. A lot going on.

From tap at Carlsbad. Pours pitch black with a lacing tan head. Coffee and hardroasted malt aroma. Light chocolate note too. Flavour follows this with a nice chocolate malty base flavour. Lingering hoppy and roasted malt flavour into a dry and slight spiced finish.
