Can with many thanks to Drake! Murky dark brown, nowhere close to black, with a giant tan head. Still looks beautiful even if its not black. Bourbon (is this a bourbon barrel stout or am I imagining this?), chocolate, vanilla, roasted malt. Coffee, metallic notes, chocolate, vanilla, booze, roasted and toasted malt, slightly burnt toast. Not nearly as booze tasting as it is, but alcohol is present. Nice.

12 ounce can from Woodman's Appleton, 11/29/20. Near black, large foamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of roast, chocolate, earth. Taste is roast, chocolate, vanilla. Full bodied, well balanced. Booze is mildly present but its not offputting. Overall pretty simple but pretty damned good. Exceptional.
