Aged in Port Wine Barrels, courtesy of Collins Huff and Gryffon's Aerie Farm in Crozet, va. Rich Malt sweetness and deep garnet color gain refreshing tartness from Reason's blend of Belgian yeasts while the wood lends a hint baking spice and the flavor of ripe red plums.

Waxed half liter bottle from the brewery, 10/20/20. Dark red, thin fizzy tan head that quickly fades. Aroma of funk, oak cherry, tannins. Taste is grape, pepper, funk, oak, caramel. Medium bodied, both warming and bright. Nicely done.
