This pale, crisp, moderately bitter lager is named after the hydrogen-filled airship "Roma" that took off from Langley AFB and crashed in Norfolk in 1922. Our brew team manipulated our ale-oriented brewhouse for some traditional mash techniques, then fermented under pressure with a special valve to capture natural carbonation. A big wildflower honey addition accentuates the floral noble hop aroma, while also boosting the ABV and ensuring a dry finish. This beer is completely unfiltered, but still clear and bright from extended cold aging. That means you can still get a ton of flavor when you need a break from the haze craze.

Pint can thanks to hershiser2! 10/3/20. Clear gold, large fizzy white head, fair retention. Aroma of leafy hops, lemon. Taste is honey, lemon, doughy malt. Medium bodied. Could be crisper. Nice.
