Bamberg-Style Smoked Dunkelweizen.
Dunkel means “dark.” Weizen means “wheat.” So, it makes sense that dunkelweizen, a traditionally southern German beer, is rather dark and wheaty. This is also has smoked wheat malt for additional complexity. Our Bamberg-style Weiss Rauchbier has a smooth smoky character with a mild sweetness. This darker (dunkel) style has a detectable degree of roast malt in the balance without being robust in overall character. Because yeast is present, the beer will have yeast flavor and a characteristically fuller mouthfeel and will be appropriately very cloudy!

Keg at the brewery, 9.17.20. Dark brown thin head. Aroma of smoke and chocolate. Taste is cherry, smoke, raisin. Thin, flat, off balance. Promising start to this but then it falls flat.
