Journal Entry: They need boxes. Pit fruit, black pepper, & hints of smoke. Too dark for their precarious comfort. They look up and shout “Tell us how to label this!” I look down and whisper, “No.”

Pint can from Wine Warehouse, 5/17/21. Black, large frothy tan head. Fascinating bubble structure, as @CrellMoset would say. Rock and weird. Lives up to the name. I see botryoidal chalcedony in the bubbles at first, than just a nice Connect 4 line. Big head, structure always evolving. If I've talked about the appearance this long, I suppose the score should be a 5. Aroma of roast, chocolate, yeast, a faint bit of dark fruit. Taste is molasses, dark fruits, nuts, roast. Thin. Solid.

Draft taproom. Pours reddish brown, kinda cola like. Aroma is lightly sour but also slightly smoked. Almost like roasted sunflower seeds. Flavor is fruity, barnyard funk, glue, bread, light licorice. This is different.
