Bottled. A deep red beer with a brown head. The aroma has primary notes of malt, but also lighter notes of burnt plastic, caramel, and hay. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of roasted malt and caramel, combined with a light burnt edge, leading to a dry finish. Flawed.

Bottle. It looks lovely in the glass, with its black body and fingerthick tan head. Slightly milky on the nose, which is else roasted and chocolatey and with a touch of salty licorice. The flavor is licorice-ish and roasted, with salty hints, roasted malts and some coffee. Full-bodied, quite dry and with smooth carbonation. Long, roasted finish. A quite decent one, but there’s something unpleaseant I can’t place in the back. 110708

Bottle 50 cl. Pours black with an orange hue and a dense beige head. The nose is greasy hops and dark roast. Solid body, heavy dark roast, somewhat ashy, dark fruits while the hops only leave a very discreet citrusy imprint. Roast finish. More Stout than Black IPA - a better hop profile really would have been preferred. 100511
