Wax sealed big bottle thanks to Drake! Pours thick, just about black (not quite), dusting of a head. Nose is chocolate, booze, caramel, roasted, hint of smoke, vanilla, strawberry. Boozy chocolate, vanilla, caramel, strawberry, roasted malt. Sweet, not quite cloying (but approaching). Carbonation is almost non-existent. Just misses the mark for me.

Half liter bottle from McF’s, 3/27/22. Special release for yesterday’s Stout Day. Very fancy double wax! Very dark brown, thin fizzy brown head, poor retention. Aroma of chocolate, roast, strawberry, vanilla. Taste is roast, chocolate, tart berry, booze. Bit thin for the style, warming. Tasty. Nice beer.
