Bottle at the Croydonia Tasting - East Croydon. This one I picked up in Rome. Pours cloudy orange-gold with a large, frothy white head. Nose holds spices, dough, some marmalade and mandarin orange. Light sweet flavor with bitter citrus rind, dry dough, light dry herbs. Light bodied with high, lively carbonation. Dry finish with floral bitterness, dandelions, dry dough, hay. Alright beer.

Bottle shared with Veitafan. Pours a cloudy orange colour with a small off-white and whipped eggwhite-like head. Lots of spices in fruity aroma with cinnamon and some citrus, Very nice. ThereοΏ½s also a lot of spices and flowers in the flavour as well, but in addition dry grassy hops and has a strange bitter taste in the end. Has a slick mouth feel, and a medium bitterness. The aroma is interesting, but feels weird and unbalanced in the mouth.

Bottle @ Salling. Pours hazy dark yellow with a small white head. Aroma of light malt, yeast, spice, light sourness. Flavor is malt, yeast, spice, pepper, cinnamon, little floral hops, light sourness. Medium body, soft carbonation, dry spicy finish. 210313

0.5l bottle. It's alive this! Slightly gushing my kitchen desk, but in the glass it has a cloudy, glowing slightly yellow-golden look with a massive and everlasting fluffy just off-white top. Have to admit that it looks pretty awesome this. The aroma has a nice sweet-fruity yeasty thing. Some sweet grapefruit with dried orange zest and saison yeast. Smells quite alright also. The taste? Hmm.. A soft infection on the verge, no doubt, with loads of bitter citrus peal and grapefruits. Soft traces of honey near the finish. Somewhat dry in the mouth and it has a flowery and soft pepper-burning aftertaste. Not something I would want to drink loads of, but an interesting and quite complex saison undoubledy. 22.12.2012

50 cl bottle from Doorstep Brew. Looks like they missed typing out the BB date. Sampled on January 14, 2013.Hazy golden color, huge lasting white to off-white head with plenty of lacing. Spicy, cinnamon, clove, some citrus, fresh scent. Bitter, pith, fruit peel, alcohol, yeast, phenoles taste. Bitter grapefruit aftertaste. Fairly smooth low co2 mouthfeel, though a tad weak. Medium high dry resinous bitterness.Turns cloudy with yeast streaks all around with the later pours. Bitterness also enhanses with the added yeast and sediment.

Bottle from doorstepbrewing. Deep golden, cloudy, big lasting white head. floral, spicy scents of cinnamon, nutmeg, dried flowers, herbs and honey. Refreshing taste, crisp in a nice saison kind of way, orangepeel, flowers, well balanced, little bitterness that taste like the inside of orange center. I usually prefer my saisons with less spices but this one was really tasty.

50cl bottle from Vinmonopolet, Vika. Pours hazy dark golden with a large off-white head. Yeasty aroma with floral notes, spices and hints of wheat and citrus. Lightly sweet with hints of honey, flowers and wheat before the spices gets alle the attention. Nice pepper prickeling in the mouth when I let it rest for a while. Cinnamon,cardamon or some other christmassy spice in the aftertaste. Dry finish with a spicy bitterness. Interesting and tasty with a pleasant lasting aftertast. I like the mild pepper burn on the tongue. Nice surprise this one!

Gusher. Huge offwhite lasting head. Clear yellow body with strong carbonation. Strong spicy, soapy aroma of sandalwood, cardamom and nutmeg. Dry, and faintly sweet, spicy peppery cardamom, lavender, and sandalwood taste. Mid-bodied. Faintly sharp mouthfeel. Dry spicy citrusy lavender and tropical fruit aftertaste with peppery cardamom notes. Interesting and deeply unusual. Incredibly vivid flavour, but it really works well. A very good beer. (0.5l bottle, wine monopoly, Vika, Oslo.)
