Keg at Dublin's Oshkosh, Darkest Day 2022 event, 12/17/22. Black, large tan head, good retention. Aroma of cocoa, coffee, oak, mild whiskey and cotton candy. Taste is raisin, coffee, oak, anise, roast. Moderate booze. A bit thin for the style. Surprise of the event and expectations definitely exceeded.

Sample at the Black Friday 04 tasting on 11/23/2018. Black pour with a medium thick beige head that recedes steadily to a film. Sticky patches of lacing. Bourbon, malt and vanilla in the nose. Full-bodied with flavors of oaky bourbon, charred malt and vanilla. The finish is oaky with a bourbon and malt aftertaste. Solid beer overall.
