A certain West Coast beer that releases annually around this time of year, has always had an incredibly special and profound grip on the entire production team. Our shared appreciation for what might be the oldest continually brewed American IPA damn near boils over, as it were, during these cooler weather months.
Fermented with our preferred Chico Ale yeast variant for that clean “C” hop and malt expressive character, this was a key piece of the clone correct puzzle. If imitation is a form of flattery, consider us guilty as charged.
We notice impressions of fresh cut Christmas tree, grapefruit rind, sweet orange citrus oil, and clean caramel reinforced with a softer level of PNW varietal derived hop bitterness.

12 ounce can from Beer Run, 6/7/23. Hazy copper, large tan head, average retention. Aroma of toast, stone fruit, pine. Taste is resin, pine, melon, toast, cranberry. Moderate bitterness. Interesting. Solid.

Interesting color for an IPA. Full hop flavor, very herbal.
