Precursor returns as our delicately built, dry hopped pale lager at 5.5%. Dry hopped with Mandarina Bavaria and Saphir, this one is less about hop saturation, and more about the blending of two different hop varietals with one of our preferred pale lager grists, and a variant of our favorite German lager strain.

Our intention with this beer was to explore the interactions that occur between two newer school German varietals, even more specifically what happens when active lager yeast find themselves in the presence of readily available hop oil.

To that end, we notice impressions of hop derived lemon peel, sage, pils malt biscuit, freshly cracked white pepper, jasmine herbal hop, and that classically clean, cold fermented cohesion at a drinkable.

Pint can from Beer Run, 5/21/23. Hazy orange, medium beige head, average retention. Aroma of bready malt, yeast, nuts, citrus, hint of dank. Taste is stone fruit, lemon, bready malt. Crisp. well balanced.
