A newer triangles approaches… Strata has long since held our attention since our exposure to it a few years back.
The hop once known as X-331, is the progeny of an open-pollinated Perle located in an Oregon State experimental field at Corvallis. It apparently rose to esteem rather quickly for both its complex bright fruit character, excellent disease resistance and other positive growing attributes.
As an ideal candidate for the three-sided treatment, we took our standard triangles grist and loaded it with said Strata at our elevated kettle and dry hopping rate. The resultant, single hop liquid has us noticing brighter mango, orange creamsicle, dole like canned pineapple juice, with a delicately herbal sweet basil character to balance the whole thing out.
