We teamed up with our pals at The Bake Shop and Silver Hand Meadery down the road to create this Honey Kvass Lager. Traditionally Kvass is an old world brew of fermented bread, most commonly Rye, that lends to a low ABV reminiscent of an unfiltered small beer. We stuck with the tradition of using Rye, thanks to the Bake Shop, but through our own interpretation also utilized Appalachian Wildflower Honey - procured from Silver Hand Meadery. This honey, sourced in Virginia, has notes of toffee, vanilla, dates, and toast to add to the intricate flavor profile of the Kvass. Lagered for a clean crisp finish. We're stoked on this beer and hope you are, too!
