A collaborative Belgian-style Blonde Ale, Clotho was weaved together using Maine-grown Pale Malts, Oats, and Wheat. We then hopped Clotho with continental European varieties and co-fermented with a classic Belgian yeast and Allagash's house Brettanomyces culture prior to bottle re-fermentation.

Bottle: pours blonde with smallish white head. Aroma is very light brett, some light spice. Taste is kind of weird. It is a little watery and seems to not have a little bit of extra sweetness that would round out the taste well. Seems kind of unbalanced.

Bottle from Wagner Market, 5/30/24. Hazy orange, thin head, poor retention. Aroma of bready malt, apricot, honey, hint of funk. Taste is apricot, stone fruit, bready malt, plum skins. Well balanced. Solid.

I got excited when I saw this, thought it was a new allagash due to more prominent label. Unfortunately it's much more of a new Green Bench. Light lemon, some coriander. Doesn't blend super well. Slightly hazy golden pour without much head. Pretty fizzy. Bottle.
