Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a clear warm orangey brown with an off-white head. Strange aroma of elderflower and rubbery caramel. Medium body, wood and ashes, caramel and nuts and again these very strange elderflower notes. Ends dry and somewhat bitter. What an odd bird. 150411

On gravity at the Tewkesbury Beer festival, 4/02/2011. Jet black with a slight tan head. Sweetish aroma of dark fruits and caramel, with some balancing roasted malts. Flavour had the same sweetness, with some chocolate and milky coffee notes, leading to a dry finish. Very good.

From cask at Doctors. Pours dark brown to black with a small white head. Mild roasted malty and chocolate aroma. Flavour starts sweet and soon goes into a more roasted malty flavour with clear notes of chocolate and some liqourice. Breadish and mild spiced finish with a bit of bitterness.
