Brewed in the style of a mid-19th century English Festival Ale, this unfiltered wheat beer displays a translucent orange color topped with a creamy, white head. Wheat enhances the mouthfeel of the beer and produces pleasant bread-like notes while Michigan honey provides a caramelized sweetness in the flavor profile. This beer is spiced with orange peel and coriander and small amounts of three hop varieties pleasantly counterbalances the sweetness.

(Draught at White Horse, Parson’s Green, London, 7 Aug 2010) Pale amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, slightly malty nose with notes of apricots, orange and a touch of ginger. Fruity taste with orange, apricots, papaya, a touch of wheaty sweetness and a fairly mild floral bitterness in the finish. Slightly more than medium body, a bit sweet. Tasty and well balanced. Nice one.

Location: Draft at Waterfront Ale House, 7/24/10
Aroma: The nose has some orange, toffee/caramel, wheat, and a bit of spice
Appearance: It pours a hazy golden-orange with a small off-white head
Flavor: It tastes wheaty, has some spice to it, and has citrusy hops in the finish
Palate: The body is light-medium with a relatively lively carbonation
Overall Impression: This was an OK, but fairly uninspried wheat beer. It isn't bad, it isn't great, and it isn't memorable, it just kind of is... This shouldn't read as overly harsh, it isn't meant that way, it is drinkable.

12 oz. bottle. I did catch a strong honey smell as I opened and poured, somewhat unexpected. From the name, I expected this to be a Belgian wit, but I see the category here is more correct. So instead of yet another old wheat beer, I’ve a nice, sunny brew that’s a little out of place here on Christmas night. My sample is packed with bubbles that help to keep the sweetness from settling too heavily on my tongue. Some Cascade, a light ale fruitiness round out the soft spices of wheat. I just find this to be a very pleasant surprise.

Ultra hazy amber coloured body with an orange glow and a thinnish tan head - a completely unfiltered wit - looks pretty nice! Aroma of metal, corn, coriander seed and a strong bit of oranges. Medium-bodied. Strong malty flavour with tangy citrus and potent spices following behind. Aftertaste shows potent nuts, metal and a tiny bit of honey. Overall, a strong and not-so-traditional wit. I didnt mind this so much, but others are much better for the style. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Merchants in Dearborn, Michigan on 06-June-2008, sampled on 07-December-2008 at home in Washington.
