Combining different malts gives Black Dub a rich and complex taste; roasted coffee with hints of chocolate meet sweet oaty notes. There is a dark, deep pool (or dub) in the River Cover to the rear of Middleham Castle, after which our stout is named.

Cask gravity at Cambridge BF 08. Very dark borwn thin beige head. I would say diacetyl. Rest of the beer is a bit thin to be honest. Not much of a stout. No great depth. bit of chalky roasted malt. Not great.
