Sound over the Ocean is an Imperial Stout, where I took inspiration from the American brewery Mikerphone Brewing. I tasted their 2022 Barrel Aged Shake It Fast, at a beer festival and was completely sold. So with their fantastic beer in mind, I threw myself into the Sound over the Ocean project, where part of the beer will also be aged in Bourbon Barrels.
Sound over the Ocean is an Imperial Stout with Cacao Nibs, Coconut and Condensed Milk.
It is a beer where large amounts of roasted malt have been used, which is also clearly expressed in the taste and the long aftertaste.
7 types of malt, 3 types of hops, Brown Sugar, Cassonade Sugar, coconut, Cacao nibs, condensed milk.
Ingredients: Water, barley malt, hops, sugar, coconut, cocoa, condensed milk and yeast.
Unfiltered & unpasteurized
Should be stored in a dark and cool place.
A big thank you to Mikerphone Brewing for their helpfulness, regarding the use of condensed milk in beer.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours an opaque black with a creamy and lacing beige head. Lovely and imtense coconut aroma atop sweet roastiness. Rich body, a little sharp roastiness with some bitter English licorice notes. Warming finish. The coconut is the real star in this beer. 010225
