Hand-pulled half-pint in the Old Blenheim, Oxford during a heavy pub crawl on 23rd Nov 13. Lovely dark body with tanned crown of smooth foam which hung around for a while. The nose was of over roasted malts and fruit esters, semi-sweet caramel came through too. The taste was similar to what the aroma promised: malty, semi-sweet and fruity in nature. Nothing to set it apart from all the other well made UK Milds around, but a fine example of the art, even if it lacked individuality. The body was heavy enough for a 3.8% Mild and almost smooth in texture, made a pleasant change from some of the brews I’d had before and after on my Uber crawl around Oxford.

An uninspiring mild rescued somewhat by a half decent aroma, but overall a weak texture.
