Robust, yet elegant – vigorous and, at the same time, subtle: our Kupfer Bock pleases everyone. But "everybody’s darling" is far from superficial. It simply combines the best of both worlds. It enchants at first glance with cream-coloured foam and dark brown colour with copper reflections, glowing, fine and glossy. Then the fiery bock sets off its firework display of flavours – it has a high-quality aroma of lightly roasted caramel, dried damson plums and ripe blueberries, but that is not all. It is rounded off by a little chocolate and a pinch of chilli. The combination of creamy consistency and the finest perlage make the Kupfer Bock simply irresistible. When it comes to aroma, it awakens memories of Turkish honey, nuts and dark chocolate. But it is the delicate bitterness of dark malt and aromatic hops that lingers longest in the memory. Original wort: 16,6º.

The beer is fresh and malty. Smooth, not too deep but nice sweetish malty. Fresh with hints of bitterness in the aftertaste. Nice and round.

Rather malty and somewhat sweet aroma with some chocolate, nuts and hints of coffee. Flavour is rather strong on chocolate. Also some coffee, nuts and hints of solvent‐like alcohol. Somewhat dry finish. Good.

Bottle outside ’Frank’ camper at Shrewsbury Folk Festival over the weekend of 26,27,28 & 29th August 2011 not sure where I got this bottle, may have been via Jan (Fonefan) if so many thanks. Pours mid amber touch of haze, mmhh.. not really an awful lot to say about this, quite malty with caramel and some dark fruits, its absolutely fine. A6 A3 T6 P3 Ov12 3.0
