500ml bottle. Wonderful clear ruby red glowing mahogany colour with average, frothy, diminishing, beige head. Dark malty aroma with notes of caramel, a nuttily touch. Taste is moderately sweet dark malty with a nuttily touch, notes of caramel. Not overly complex, but nicely mild malty, balanced and drinkable.

Bügelverschlußflasche: Deep chestnut-amber coloured, unclear, quickly collapsing loose off-white head, sweetish toasty-fruity nose, traces of caramel barely detectable; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, hardly medium bodied; shy traces of caramel in the short sweet-bitter finish. Pretty disappointing...

(swing top bottle) Hazy, dark amber colour with a ruby shine and a big and beige foamy head. Slightly molassy and toasty malty aroma with caramel, bready notes and a subtle fruity touch of dried fruits/raisins. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, medium bodied with a smooth carbonation. Toasty cara-malty base with hints of dried fruits, bread and chocolate; moderately sweet malt-accented finish with a balanced level of bitter and drying hops. Well-rounded and not too fat dark Bock. 23.II.13

Frisch wirkender dunkler Malzantrunk mit schweren Herb-Alkoholnoten. Die Herbe macht das Bier im schokoladigeren Mittelteil dafür bekömmlicher, ansonsten würde das Bier sonst ziemlich unsüffig sein. Klebrig, die Röstigkeit wird zumeist hinter der Süße versteckt. Ein wenig Whiskey-artig, dann trocken und nach altem Hopfen. Vollmundig. 7/12/13/12/9/12

Bottle 500ml. w. swing top @ home.Clear dark red brown - amber color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, dark malt, caramel, light dark fruit and brown sugar. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, dark malt, sweet malt, caramel, burnt caramel notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110326]
