This beer was the first beer created in our Harrisonburg location, designed by brewer Mary Morgan. This lightly hopped ale was brewed primarily with rye malt, which imparts a mild spiciness to the flavor profile. The beer was finished with an herbal tea infusion of strawberry leaves, honey, and local woodruff from Pebble Hall Wildflowers in Weyer’s Cave. The combination of ingredients lends itself to an extremely quaffable summer brew.

Draft at the brewery, 8/5/14. Pours a clear ruby with a medium sized creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of rye, graham cracker, dark fruits. The taste is rye, dark fruits, bread, graham cracker, mild ginger and citrus. Medium bodied, well balanced.
