The Saucony Sessions

Canned. Serous hop aroma, some bitter grapefruit, nor a ton else. Pretty mediocre, I think I’m over cannes session ipas.

This was poured into a nonic pint glass.
The appearance was a hazy burnt yellow to orange color with a one finger foamy white head that dissipates within a quick minute leaving a rocky messy speckling of lacing.
The smell had a sharp bitter lemon rind followed by a slight grassy hops.
The taste was mainly bitter through the lemon rind and left a lingering dry bitter aftertaste. There’s no finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. That’s if one wants to drink a super dry APA.
Overall, I say this was an okay session APA. It’s not exactly balanced as I was hoping. Might have again depending upon what else is served.

12 ounce can. Cloudy yellow gold. Rocky white head. Citrus hop nose is pleasant. Flavor is bitter and hoppy with yeasty undertones. Mostly grainy and bitter. Nothing much else.

Can: Lemongrass and dandelion aroma, with a pervasive rubber smell. Hazy amber, thicky sticky head. Floral flavor of lillies, light malt underneath. Light body, soft carbonation. A bit like vase water, but enjoyable.

Draft at Beer Run, 6/3/14. Pours a hazy amber color with a large creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of tropical hops, pale crackery malt. The taste is bitter hops, biscuit malt. Very astringent. Medium bodied, slight lingering bitterness.
