We took our Coast Guard-inspired Northeast Pale Ale, Always Ready, and sent it over to our Sour and Funk Facility for a few months to age with our friend Brett (brettanomyces). Three months later, the brettanomyces yeast has left Always Bretty drier with subtle rustic funky undertones, and a fruitier, more tropical finish. We changed up the dry hops on this one to complement the pineapple tropical undertones, opting for Citra, Simcoe, and Mosaic to balance out the rustic funky undertones and lush citrus fruit vibes.
