Our Anniversary Barleywine Ale makes a golden entrance this year in all its barrel-aged glory featuring big, sweet notes of toffee and caramel from the golden promise malt, accented by sweet, dried fruit and oak flavors from the sherry casks, with little hints of spicy, herbal floral hops. The blend of lager and ale yeast creates big, floral esters up front that give way to a very clean finish. The result is a grand, full-bodied, sweet, malty brew perfect for celebrating a milestone moment!

My 75th Cape May Brewing rating. On tap at brewery. Clear, brassy gold pour. Small white cap. Earthy malt aroma. Faint oakiness. Sweet, earthy malt flavor upfront. Sticky, sugary notes. A hint of toffee and honey. Warming alcohol. Mild oak. Preserved lemon. Interesting.
