Old rating - Second time I've tried this, first in a can, now on draft at the new Krafty J's bar in St Helier. It's a really well crafted APA

I spent two months working for LiverpoolFC a while back, despite supporting a club that supporters of view as a major rival. That didn't matter, but I got to know and appreciate the city during that time, so always good to return. Nice beer here at Outpost, which I don't remember from the time. Mildly sticky-sweet tropical fruit brew, pretty good in both aroma and taste but not totally stated, allows easy drinking texture though.

Can from Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Aroma is dank and fruity hop with light pale malt, citrus, grass, oniony weedy notes, some tropical fruits. Flavour is light sweet and moderate bitter with a modest body. Nice 'dank hop' APA.

Rocky white head on an unclear pale lemon coloured body. Cat piss & weed aroma. Medium bodied, foamy with a cloying back. Melon, orange, onion & medicinal tastes with a tangy finish. Easy drinker.

Tap at Beer Hunters. Pale amber colour, small white head. Mango, apricot aroma. Light-bodied. Crisp, sweet fruity, easy, some bitterness in the aftertaste. Ok session ale.

(Tap) Hazy gold with small white head. Nice aroma with grapefruit and pine. Medium bodied, smooth with soft carbonation. Gently fruity start which slides into a gently bitter finish with some very light biscuit malt on the way. Very refreshing and drinkable.

Cask at Ebenezers, Crewe. Pours a hazy golden yellow with a scummy almost white head and excellent lacing. There’s tangerine and floral hops in the aroma. In the mouth it is sweet and juicy but with some underlying bitterness. Flavour is citrus led – mainly orange and lemon but with hints of grapefruit and mango. A little dryness in the finish. This is reasonable – but not particularly exciting.
