0,5 l bottle bought at Brause Syndikat, BI. Pours out in a darkest red brown. Huge beige head. Malt on the nose with some sweetness. Taste starts with roasted malt, coffee and sweet with a dry low bitterness. Complex one. Really nice.

1000ml bottle directly from the brewery. Sweetish-malty nose, slightly cloudy in the glass. The beer starts smooth, malty-sweetish. Not too dry, nice bitter hints in the mainpart. A bit dryer till the end, hints of roast, lots of malt, sweetish-smooth, fresh, easy to drink but not too deep. Earthy and herbal hints, hints of dried red fruit, but mainly dark and sweetish malts.

1000ml bottle. Clear, copper-ish brown colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, ochre head. Dark malty aroma, herbal hoppy and dusty yeasty overtones. Taste is slightly roasty dark malty, minimally chocolately, a nuttily touch, minimally bitter hoppy overtones. Anaemic, not much depth.

Pours up a ruby red hued mahogany with firm 2cm tall light mocha head. The aroma offers up dark roasted malts and date and fig like dark fruity esters. The taste offers up pleasing richness on this cold night in Lippstadt. I get maltiness, roasted malts, a touch of bunt malts and biscuit malts. These notes mingle with a mild level of date, prune and thin slices of ripe dark cherries. Tasty winter offering. I must be in the perfect mood for this ’cause its yum.
