Many thanks to beerhunter111 for this bottle! Smooth and fresh beginning. Hints of sourness, smooth malt. Not too fresh, hints of malt, Not much bitterness with a smooth sweetish-malty body. Easy to drink.

Hopfig-herber Antrunk, deutlich grasig-holzig, etwas nussig.

Bügelverschlußflasche: Golden, hazy, medium-sized - slowly collapsing - lacy white head; sweetish grainy-dusty nose, supported by dry bitter hops; moderate dry bitter flavour, soft, light to medium bodied; lingering bitter-hoppy finish with a delicate sweetish-malty counterweight. Not very well balanced, but all in all quite pleasant....

(swing top bottle) Hazy, golden colour with a blond and dense but short foamy head. Slightly yeasty, citrus-fruity and herbal hoppy aroma with a mildly sweet and biscuity malty touch. Slightly sweet flavour, light bodied with a smooth, even a bit flat carbonation. Rounded malty and hoppy taste with a good dash of mainly fruity aroma hops; moderately sweet malty and fruity, slightly herbal hoppy finish with a late arriving bitterness, lingering into the aftertaste. Aromatic and rounded “Wiess”. 23.I.11

Swing-top bottle (from koelschtrinker - thanks). Sweet strong hay/barnyard aroma. Cloudy amber yellow color with nice head. Sweet hay and earthy barnyard malt flavor and a lightly bitter grass hops finish. Excellent - this is very Zwickel-like.
