Bottle. Frothy off-white good mostly lasting head. Dark red-amber colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy aroma. Average moderate bitter finish. Dark fruits but overpowered by unpleasent burned notes. No finesse. Oily palate.

Bottle. It pours a clear, dark amber to brown body, topped by a small, beige head. Pleasant aroma with loads of dried fruits and a good dash of licorice. Some roasted malts, sweetness and a spiced touch. Some notes of hops too. The flavor is pretty much the same, pretty nice that is. Some tobacco blends in. Full-bodied and pleasantly carbonated. The finish has tobacco, roasted malts, dried fruits, a spiced, herbal touch and licorice notes. Overall, a beer that tops every expectation that I’ve ever had for Vejle Bryghus. Complex, tasteful and pleasant. 110218
