Dark brown color; huge head, compact, beige. Dusty aroma of beans, vegetables, chocolate. Medium body strength; caramel flavor, with moderate sweetness, and Christmas spices (the ones used in Scandinavia, with an artificial impression). Medium-low bitterness. I’m not a big fan of Juløl...

Bottle. It pours a clear, quite reddish body, deep amber with a reddish tint, and a dense, two-finger off-white head leaving some lacings. The aroma has lots of cured meat and a little touch of vegetables, as well as toffee, alcohol and a spiced note. Anise maybe. It’s full-bodied and maybe a bit heavy on the carbonation. And warming. Sweet, meaty flavor with caramel, some dried fruits and a little touch of bitterness and spices. Melon-like in the finish. Well, it’s way too warming and meaty for my likings, I think I would have a hard time finishing it, but it’s not all bad. 110624
