An innovative and fresh session ale in the American style, brewed with the modern hop variety Citra. Pale Ale is a shining amber example of Jessica Heidrich’s signature "Love and Hops" - easy to drink and rich with plenty of hop aromas and character. Aroma and taste - Large aroma and citrusy scent from the Citra hops with hints of elderflower, gooseberry and rhubarb reminiscent of a Sauvignon Blanc wine. Well-balanced and complex taste with distinct citrus floral bitterness. Long, fresh and aromatic bitter finish. Ingredients: Pale ale malt and Citra hops.

Appearance: Orange, clear (maybe a bit hazy) liquid with rocky, white, medium sized head. Aroma: Hoppy with fruity hints of citrus, grapefruit and tropical fruits. Taste: Dry with medium bitterness. Fruity as well. Palate: Nicely high carbonation, light bodied. Overall: Well balanced and drinkable, but not among the best in the style.

33 cl bottle from Systembolaget. BB 2011-11-30. Sampled on April 14, 2011Slight bit hazy golden color, big fluffy lasting white head. Fresh, pineapple juice, lemon, hoppy, malty sweet scent. Malty sweet, a bit cloyingly so, hoppy, fruity, somewhat stale and bitter taste. Smooth, though also flat and thin like mouthfeel. Medium bitterness.

Bottled:
Pours a pale amber colour with a dense head. Resiny hops and peaches on the nose. Fruity peach and apricot flavour followed by a hoppy bitterness. Not too shabby.

Bottle at SBWF. Clear golden with a medium white head. Fresh beer with citrus and grass. I was disturbed a bit by some bread that I felt in the taste.
