Draught at City Pub, Göteborg, on January 14, 2012Clear nice dark brown color, dense lasting tan head. Malty, butterscotch, fudge taste. Fruity and dry bitter, also roasted, aftertaste. A bit weak mouthfeel. Fresh, malty, butterscotch scent.Nice and cozy, very drinkable.

Bottle. Frothy white good mostly lasting head. Dark amber colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy aroma. Light bitter slightly caramellic flavor. Average light bitter finish. Oily palate.

(Draught at Black Door, 20111214) The beer poured dark brown and clear. Its head was small and white. Aroma had treacle and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, sweetness, roasted malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet and mildly bitter. Too sweet and a bit harsh brew.

Bottle. Deep brown colour with a beige. Aroma is butterscotsch, malt, hop, fruit. Flavour is butterscotsch, fruit, caramel, berries, malt. Medium body. Ordinary beer .

Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm. Clear mahogany colour, mid sized head. Mild roasty and nutty nose. Medium bodied with rounded mouthfeel. Buttery with mild roastiness. Mid bitter finish. Unusually attractive English keg beer.

Bottle. It pours a clear, amber body and a finger-thick off-white head. Malty nose with toffee and bread. Pleasant spiced hoppyness with licorice and resins. The flavor follows the same path, with malty flavors dominating, at least at first, giving bread and toffee. Then there’s also a fruity, resiny hoppyness with a touch of black currant and licorice. Not much bitterness, but sufficient to cope with the malts. Full-bodied and quite dry. Lasting malty finish with some licorice and hints of blackcurrant. A quite decent bitter, balancing on the edge between toffee and butterscotch. 110624

Bottle: Clear, chestnut-amber coloured, small (off-)white head; moderate fruity-toasty nose, some hops crawling around; moderate dryish bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied; lingering toasty-fruity finish with a delicate hoppy aftertaste. Not earth-shaking.....

500 ml clear bottle, from Voldby Købmandsgård, Denmark. ABV is 4.2%. Beautiful copper colour, big off-white head. Very nice aroma of toffee and caramel. Fairly refeshing flavour, strong notes of caramel with a hint of fruit, but not too sweet. Moderate but sufficient hops in the finish. Okay.

Bottle from Voldby. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are fruits, hops, caramel and malt. Nice and refreshing.
