Its name is “Strong”, like its character. Its personality is regal, like the historical variety from which it descends and to which it belongs. A beer made with only the finest quality select malts, it harmoniously blends notes of liquorice and nuts with hints of roasted coffee. Before leaving the palate, it offers a pleasing aftertaste of hops that makes it unforgettable. After admiring the deep amber red colour, discover its sweetness – it will astound your senses once again.

Bottle, 8.5% at KØ16. Caramelly and sweet aroma. Clear light amber colour. Small stable white head. The flavour is caramelly with a rough bitterness and some marzipan. A decent mocne, I guess.

Pours a clear amber color, topped with a relatively small off-white head. Malty aroma, caramel is easily picked up as is some alcohol presence. Taste is sweet and malty, again some caramel and alcohol with some medium bitterness in teh finish. Full and silky, but not exactly what I prefer.

Bottled, 0.33l. Clear deep amber color with small creamy off-white head and normal sparkling appearance. Aroma of caramel malt, raisins, wine and alcohol. Taste starts with moderate sweet malt, caramel, follows with dried fruits and wine acidity, port like character and moderate bitter finish. Full body, syrupy texture and lively carbonation in palate. Well balanced tasty warming ale...

Appearance: Clear nutty brown color, with a finger thick tan head that soon vanish into a small layer. Light lacing.
Aroma: Slightly sweet, fruity and malty.
Palate: Medium plus body. Slightly sweet, and a moderate bitterness. Average carbonation. Oily texture.
Taste: Fruity (raisin style) on a sweet malty background. Not very well hidden alcohol.
Overall impression: Nahh, they have to work some more on this style!
Personal stats: Bottle from Vinmonopolet Oslo - Vika in Oslo, Norway.

Baladine).

33 cl bottle @ some sauna at Finlayson area. Rated on 21.10.2010
Aroma is stale with some alcohol and ripe fruits. Flavour is stale and syrupy with alcohol, ripe fruits and hints of grassy hops. Too stale, sweet and too much alcohol here. Not your typical English Strong.
