Firebox is a darker red ale with a fruity aroma. Toasted berry fruit sweetness leads to a tangy hop bitterness. Made with a blend of Maris Otter, crystal and darker malts, hopped with UK Jester.

Can from Westlands Farm Shop, Winchester. Opaque dark brown. Foamy light beige head. Aroma is tangy - rye spice and citrus with a hint of resin. Flavourwise it has that initial tang pf rye and citrus of a more bitter rye and grains. However it's kinda basic in flava range. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Unexciting Amber, despite being relatively punchy.

Cask (Handle Bar, Southampton) - Copper red in colour. Raisins, caramel and some toasted notes in the aroma. Malty taste with caramel, rye bread and raisins standing out.
