Erdig-hopfiger, wenig oxidierter Antrunk. Das Malz ist dunkel aber weniger intensiv als gedacht, die Herbe ist intensiver. Dies ändert sich im Mittelteil, hierfängt das Malz an intensiver zu werden und die oxidierten Noten zu verdrängen. Schokoladig, gewürzig, etwas nussig. Ein milder Doppelbock. 10/10/11/10/8/11

Bottle looks very simple. Beer in the glass deep black, small head. Starts quite mild, modest malty-dry, some liquorice notes in the background. All in all much too mild for a doppelbock and probably too less sweet. Not so good.

The color is very dark, almost black; the big head is short lived. Mild aroma, of roasted malt, chocolate and roasted nuts. Correct body strength; flavor of dark caramel, with some chocolate, and roasted nuts; some residual sweetness, moderate; somehow oxidised; in the end the roasty character is more evident. Industrial, but tasty enough.

Bottle, courtesy of fiulijn. It pours a reddish dark brown body, clear, and topped by a dense, beige head. Caramel and dark rye bread in the aroma, some dried fruits too. It’s bready and coffee-like in the flavor. Dry and full-bodied. Quite drinkable, but a bit intensely ryebreadish. 110129

Bottle 330ml. w. swing top.[ Trade by fiulijn ]. Clear dark brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, chocolate malt, dusty. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, burnt caramel - sugar - malt bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110129]

33 cL bottle. Pours dark brown with a shortlived and small tan head. Aroma is dark roasted malty, breadish and light alcohol presence. Sweet, roasted malty and breadish flavoured. Dark roasted malty finish.
