(750ml bottle from BG18e brewpub, Quebec City) Aroma is earthy cacao, raw white coconut and floral vanilla, sweet burnt sugar with a little bit of maple to it and something quite creamy like marshmallow or lactose, rather roasty with a slight acidity and even smoky char. Flavour is big notes of white coconut leading the way, mix of darker sugars making it fairly sweet up front, earthy semisweet chocolate and cacao nib, dries out pretty promptly mid sip with coconut still there but floral vanilla, earthy cacao, some dark roast coffee, charred grains and even some maple without the sweetness leading to a dry, moderately bitter roasty cacao and coffee grounds finish. Some lingering coco-vanilla in the aftertaste. Light to medium bodied for style, a bit oily, light carbonation, no alcohol. Nice stuff as usual from Nano Cinco/BG and I enjoy the adjuncts even if the maple is largely MIA. Coconut works for me! Just wish it had more body to go with the flavour.
