Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of yngwie. Pours amber with a slight haze and a small off-white head. The nose has some British hops. Medium body, a dry fruitiness and some dusty British style hops leaving a massive bitterness. Rather close to style. 290111

750 ml bottle. Clear golden body with a big foamy off-white head. Mild and clean aroma of malt and citric fruit, quite subdue but nice. Flavor has a dry biscuit maltiness with just a hint of fruit and moderate bitterness. A light and easy beer, still in a perfect balance and incredible quaffable. Definitivly british style. Like this a lot even as this is not reflected by the score, but that’s the nature of Ratebeer.

Big creamy offwhite lasting head. Hazy yellow body with light small-bubbled carbonation. Floral resiny chalky aroma with pine needle notes. Very fresh and vivid. Dry chalky fruity resiny taste with floral metallic notes. Mid-bodied. Soft, mild mouthfeel. Dry strawy earthy herbal aftertaste with papery sugary notes. Very nice, and highly distinctive. Love the harmonic vividness of the flavour. (0.75l bottle, Fenaknoken, Oslo. Batch #44.)

750ml bottle, brygg nr. 34, airborne from Fenaknoken in Oslo to Tromsø. Fluffy, white head over a cloudy, golden body. Semi-sweet, dusty hops to the nose with mild spices. Fruity hops in flavour developing into a rather discreet finish of pine bitterness. Mild and soft in the mouth. Refreshing and drying palate. (Shared at a romjulsparty in Tromsø, 28.12.2010). --- Beer merged from original tick of Pilegrim Glutenfri on 23 Jul 2020 at 07:16 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 5 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6.5. Original review text: 150ml draught at Agenturet Øl og Vinbar. Remaining, low white head over a hazy amber coloured body. Spotty lacing. Moderate smell of caramel-fruit. Mixed taste profile of herbal hops, earth, and mid-sweet caramel malts. Mild bittersweet ending. Soft in the mouth. Pretty alright. (Tromsø 22.07.2020).

Handpump at Naboen, Bergen. Pours thick fuzzy orange body with a quite large and long-lasting nice creamy white head. Tastes of fruity hops with a subtle metallic-bitter taste. Lots of malt, with a long lasting bitter aftertaste. ---------------------------------- Re-rated 09.03.2011 0.75l bottle @ Naboen, Bergen. Pours a semi-clear light orange body with a thin sticky just off-white head. Nose is strawberry syrup, quite light and slightly hopy with some floral notes. Medium bodied and soft carbonation. Tastes quite nice with notes of grassy hops, good amount of malt, hints of honey and a nice medium bitter, slightly sour and dry finish.

750 ml capped bottle, courtesy of the brewer. ABV is 4.7%. The glass fills completely by white foam, and the golden beer appears only slowly. When the head eventually is low enough to make the beer drinkable from my tall glass, the remaining carbonation is very moderate. I think the refermentation in the bottle has gone a bit "bananas" here, seems not right for an English style bitter. Quite nice aroma of Fuggles and Centennial hops, notes of blackcurrants, hints of butterscotch and honey. The flavour has a decent hoppy character from the Fuggles and Centennial, and a bitterness of 35 IBU (mainly from the Target hops). The malts in the background seem just about right, with only a tad of honeyish sweetness from the pale crystal malts. --- Beer merged from original tick of Pilegrim Glutenfri on 12 Jul 2022 at 18:56 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 4.5 | Flavor - 5.5 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 5. Original review text: 330 ml bottle, batch #1848, from Coop Extra Sauda. ABV is 4.5%. Brownish deep golden colour, slightly hazy. Moderate white head. Aroma of malts, yeast (too yeasty) and earthy hops. The flavour is tolerably malty and slightly citric, again too yeasty, moderate earthy hops in the finish.
