This raspberry lambic style beer is brewed using Pilsner Malt, Unmalted Wheat and Virginia Hops that are aged for 3 years. The lambic is then fermented and aged for 12 months in Virginia Meritage and Chambourcin Wine barrels from Pollock Vineyards. The complex wine aromas are complemented by earthy flavors from the wild yeast fermentation. After the initial 12 months, the lambic then undergoes a secondary fermentation with raspberries. As a result this Lambic style beer has amazing aromas of raspberries, charred oak, and rich red wine.

Growler: Moldy feet and raspberry nose. Cloudy red, thick head, little retention. Oak, raspberry, wormwood. Light body, easy carbonation. Some good funk, some foul funk.

Tap at the brewery. Pours hazy reddish-magenta with a dusting of a head. Lovely aroma of fresh raspberry, light stem as well. Flavor is tart fresh raspberry- no sweetness to be found here. A bit of leafy green stem flavor too. Solid.
