89 pence bottle from Asda, low expectations. Pours a light amber with small white head; fine. Biscuit and caramel aroma; no surprises also fine. Light body, low carbonation, quite slick on the palate; fine. Taste of biscuit, caramel, quite sweet, bitterness then kicks but doesn’t last long; fine. Ticks all the right boxes for a basic bitter and is good value.

500ml bottle kindly shared by Richard. Clear amber body under a remaining pearl white head, fair lacing. Moderate mid-sweet malty smell, traces of leafy hops. Mixed taste profile of caramel malts and leafy hops. Bittersweet endnotes. Classic, decent Brit bitter. (Worcester 27.06.2019).

Bottle at my parents', they got it from Aldi. Malt and caramel aroma. Light brown. Decent fluffy white head. Light-medium bitter. Underlying sweetness. Matches the aroma. Light bodied. Slick. Benefits from soft carbonation. Abrupt finish. Serviceable commercial bitter.
