Tap @ Fairbar. Pours murky dark brown with a small offwhite head. Aroma of sweet malt, fruit, caramel, xmas spices, light hops. Taste is malt, caramel, fruit, raisins, plums, some cinnamon and other spices. Medium body, soft carbonation. To me the flavors from the "juleøl" dominates over the IPA, still pretty good. 071110

(Draught - offered generously by fonefan, thanks - at the 16th Kerstbierfestival) The beer poured amber and cloudy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had hops, malts and berries. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, hops, fruitiness, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet and bitter. Refreshing one.

Draught Small beige head over hazy, light red-amber beer. Wood, rosewater, cacaopowder, alcohol. Jumble of rather conflicting aromas, nose is unbalanced. More rosewater, canned lytchee juice, or other diluted exotic fruit syrup. Too slanted towards the rosewater. Very thick, full-bodied, very slick and some alcoholwarming, making it seem more than its 7% ABV. Unidimensional - what hops give only fruity esters and no bitterness whatsoever?
