A deeply complex, pitch-dark, rich and syrupy stout. The Belgian take on a Russian Imperial Stout. A true flavor bomb—so bold, the last tsar might rise from his grave for a sip. Nazdrovje. Aged in art, brewed with style.
Appearance: Just shy of pitch black, with a long-lasting mocha-colored head
Aroma: Caramel, coffee, and dark chocolate
Taste: Bittersweet with notes of prunes, raisins, and pure dark chocolate
Food pairing tip: Strong cheeses like Stilton or Roquefort. Classic desserts such as Dame Blanche and tiramisu. Also perfect—if you dare—with a thick Cuban cigar.
Barley and wheat malt. Hops: Merkur, Styrian Goldings, Saaz, Spalt, Citra, Amarillo

Small yellow head over fully opaque dark brown beer. Lots of chocolate, roast, some wood. Ink, aniline, wood, lots of dark malts, lactose and still some chocolate. Chewy, not very carbonated. Good stout, but indeed inviting to be barrel aged.
2025 version lagertank Appearance identical. Toffee, melanoidins, way less chocolate, prunes, apricot. Roast, ashes, brown malts, dried chocolate and whifs of alcohol. Well carbonated, slick. Much more 'stout-like' than the former version. Txs to Fr!

Very dark brown colour with thin head. Aroma and flavour have loads of roasted malts. There's also an element of dried fruits and Belgian yeast. Aftertaste is powdery cocoa.

Donkerbruin bier met schuim. Smaak is warm, krachtig bitterzoet met iets van chocolade, koffie, wat anijs en zwarte bessen.
