More a porter than a stout really but we just love the name!
Our first test version was so overpowering it stained the glass, we’ve reined it in a bit to make it more civilised!!

Cask (gravity) @ Nottingham Robin Hood Beer Festival (2014), Nottingham Castle, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England NG1 6EL. [ As Scribblers Beyond Reasonable Stout ].Clear dark brown color with a small to average, frothy - fizzy and open, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, vanilla notes. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, roasted bitter, roasted sweet, chocolate, wood notes. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20141009]
