Bottled. Poured brown, malty and hops with the former predominating. Pretty good.

Notes from July 2009 Passed over these guys a lot because I know of the endurance required to take care of growlers through five hours of bus & train rides. Twelve ounce bottles pack & stack really well in luggage though. A couple of their staples is more then enough to bring home though. Born on date missing a notch. Assured to be relatively fresh. Poured into my Sly Fox tumbler. Slightly chill-hazed honey amber. Off-white, sticky, cobweb lace. Smell is muted herbals, wet grass, & oil. Quite buttery taste. Margarine more like it. A decently toasted bread malt & some faintly grassy/floral hops, but the slickness of this is not appetizing. Weak carbonation isn't helping any either. Not a fan.

Rating from March 2013...12 oz bottle....malted aroma overpowers the hops...its been in my fridge for almost a year, so that may be why....rich copper color with a skimming of a head....very malt forward flavor....its good, I like IPA’s like this...tasty & well rounded

Tap at Opa Opa, Southampton, 20/05/13. Clear golden with a thin off white head. Nose is pale malts, grass, citrus. Taste comprises light grapefruit, hops, caramel malt. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, touch of hop bitterness in the finish. Ok IPA.

Pours a fairly clear medium golden color with a huge meringue head that prevented me from pouring this in one shot. Smells of citrus and a hint of pine. Heavy on the grapefruit and lemon with a fairly solid bready sweet malt backbone. The flavor follows the aroma bread citrus and pine with a faint hint of wild yeasty phenols. Medium body with a huge amount of carbonation and a slick resinous mouthfeel. Not a bad brew, nothing special, but nothing objectionable either.

GBBF. Cask - presumably a special as there was nothing like a 6.0% IPA on the database before I added it. Description taken from the GBBF Programme. Hazy gold beer, little white head. Light palate with superfine carbonation. A fair amount of grain with a dash of honey. Mild tangerine - orange citrus with a whisper of peach. Mild fresh hop spice. Carbonated sting in the finish. Another great condition cask US beer at GBBF - BSF have done a great job!

12 oz. bottle labeled as “Hop Express” Fresh bottle from Julio’s Liquors in Westborough, MA. The best attribute of this beer is the balance. The malt to hops ratio is nice. Slightly hazy orange color, thin white head, light lace. Decent hop flavors through the entire sip. Nothing that you have to seek out but... for me it’s a nice standard, every day drinker if you live in Western MA.
