This IPA pours a hazy orange-amber color with a medium off-white head that diminishes slowly to a film. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Medium body with a mildly citrrusy hops character and notes of caramel malt and trace spices. The finish is lightly bitter hops with a short lemony aftertaste. Slightly above average all around.

Bottle in the Maj Ap at Hamilton during C&C Day 2011. Pours a dark, clear, brown-gold with a foamy head. Light pine and orange, lemon citrus nose. Has some nice honey and caramel notes, more pine, and light to medium bitterness in the flavor. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Short to medium hop finish, mild resins. Decent.

Thanks to my friend John Dings for this beer. Aroma is somewhat sweet and mild floral hops, very pleasant and not in your face like many IPA smell. That’s just a facade, because its no indication of the first tate. First taste is a big smack in the face of large bitter hoppy flavors, like many IIPA, yes even DIPA. Initially, its off like it wants to befriend you, then it turns its tale and gives you the finger. Palate? What palate? Any indication of mouth feel or co2 is covered by this medicinal hop oily mouth coating rudeness. The nasty bitter middle finger, plowing across your lips and down the sides of your tongue as it reaches for the back of your throat. I’d swear this stuff is near 7 or 8%. Bitter nellie negative lingering bad medicine finish. All I can say is this stuff is much more IPA than John indicated. Terribly on style, heheh ;~) If you like IPA, better try this bitter hoppy monster. Thanks John, for ruining my taste buds!

12oz bottle-pours a white head with copper color. Aroma is sweet light/medium malt, some fruit/pine. Taste follows, better as it gets to cellar temp.

Bottle. Pours a hazy orange with a medium head and aromas of grain dust, light citrus and grass. Flavor is better than aroma, but lacks a little direction. It’s a nice enough mix (maybe the caramel is a bit too sweet and strong) of malt and herbal and tropical fruit hops flavors. I’m not picking up any harsh light citrus or pine that I associate with Cascade, so that seems a little odd, but hey... I learn new stuff trying beer.
